It will also cover the conservation efforts and the world class excitement that these giant fish offer to anglers. Despite having survived two ice ages, loss of habitat, damming and overfishing had led to their near extinction in the 1980s and 90s. Not wanting to see the Fraser River’s sturgeon population suffer the same fate as other fisheries around the world, a remarkable effort began to track, study, and conserve these fish for future generations.
